I have trained, traveled and taught with some of America’s premier photographers. For many years, works by these top artists, as well as my own, were displayed in Mountain Heart Gallery, my first venture, and Bluewood Photography, the merger of two top WNC photography enterprises, a second undertaking. Our goals were to make fine art photography available to the general public at a reasonable cost, to promote and become a center for photography. Through the gallery, we conducted in-field photography workshops, training classes and offered special exhibits by top professionals.
In spite of my love and appreciation for the gallery, I made the decision to cease operations at the end of 2013 in order to re-introduce myself to my own camera equipment and expand my printing capabilities. I have already scheduled a second trip to Africa this fall, as well as other travels on my bucket list. With luck, I can continue to satisfy my main goal of sharing images and experiences from remarkable wild places with others.
